///DEFINITION
What is Pillar Page?
A pillar page is a comprehensive, broad-topic page that anchors a topic cluster and links out to all the supporting articles covering subtopics.
Pillar pages target high-volume head keywords and tend to be long (2,000-5,000 words). They give a complete overview while linking to deeper cluster articles for each subtopic.
A strong pillar page accumulates backlinks and internal links over time, becoming the highest-authority page in its cluster and lifting the ranking of the articles it links to.
