What is RAO (Retrieval-Augmented Optimization)?
RAO (Retrieval-Augmented Optimization) is the practice of structuring content so retrieval-augmented AI systems can find, extract, and cite it accurately.
RAO is named after retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), the architecture most AI engines use to ground their answers in real sources. RAO optimizes content to be one of those retrieved, cited sources.
