Content Calendar

Planning what to write is often harder than writing itself. The Content Calendar generates a complete publishing schedule tailored to your niche, populated with AI-suggested topics that align with your brand voice. Instead of staring at a blank editorial calendar, you get a ready-made plan you can start executing immediately.

Access the calendar at app.articfly.com/dashboard/calendar.

Requirements

Brand Voice required: The Content Calendar uses your Brand Brief to personalize topic suggestions. You must set up Brand Voice before generating your first content plan. Without a Brand Brief, the calendar cannot produce plans.

Generating a Plan

Creating a new content plan takes five inputs. Once submitted, Articfly generates a full schedule of topics with one entry per publishing day.

1

Choose a start date

Select the date you want your publishing schedule to begin. This can be today, next Monday, the first of next month, or any future date that fits your workflow.

2

Select duration

Choose how many days the plan should span. Available options are 30, 60, 90, 180, and 360 days. Longer plans give you a broader editorial roadmap but take slightly more time to generate.

3

Toggle weekends

Decide whether the plan should include Saturday and Sunday. If your audience or publishing cadence is weekday-only, turn weekends off to keep the calendar clean.

4

Enter your focus niche or topic

Describe the subject area you want the plan to cover. This can be as broad as "digital marketing" or as specific as "email automation for SaaS startups." The AI combines this niche with your Brand Brief to generate highly relevant topic ideas.

5

Click Generate

The generation process runs asynchronously and may take up to a minute depending on the plan length. A progress indicator shows the current status. You can stay on the page or navigate away and return once the plan is ready.

Calendar Grid

Once a plan is generated, it appears as a monthly calendar grid. Each day with a planned topic shows a colored tile indicating its current status:

PlannedTopic is scheduled but not yet started.
DraftArticle has been generated and is in draft state.
ProcessingArticle is currently being generated by the AI.
PublishedArticle has been published to your WordPress site.

Day Detail

Click any day tile on the calendar to open a detail view. This shows the planned topic title along with any notes or additional context the AI generated for that day. Use this to review what the plan suggests before you start writing or generating the article.

Plan History

Every plan you generate is saved. If you have more than one plan, a dropdown appears at the top of the calendar page letting you switch between saved plans. This is useful when you want to compare different content strategies or revisit an older plan for reference.

The most recently generated plan loads by default when you open the calendar. You can switch to any previous plan at any time without losing data.

Month Navigation

The calendar displays one month at a time. Use the previous and next buttons to move between months and see topics scheduled further out. A Today button is available whenever you are viewing a month other than the current one, letting you jump back to the present quickly.

Tip: Generate a 90-day plan to start. This gives you a full quarter of content ideas without being overwhelming. Once you have published a few articles from the plan, generate a new one to keep your pipeline fresh.
